Aksa Abraham

I am an upcoming interdisciplinary designer, holding a BDes in industrial design from Emily Carr University of Art+Design. My practice includes products, lighting, furniture and spaces and seeking harmony between tradition and innovation.

Constantly dribbling into the realms of science and the ‘ologies’ of our existence, and pondering around my role as a designer in this rapidly changing world, I realized what this world really craves is—care. Driven by this revelation, my discipline, my beliefs and my objects are now a commitment to this ideal. I design to restore rather than to change.

In a world racing towards the next big thing, I find myself still grounded in my practice. A practice that values good design as caring design, mending and breathing life into what already exists.
